CLUB MARK SEAL OF APPROVAL
As a club we are preparing on
application for Seal Of Approval, this is a prestigious award that will take a
great deal of hard work and organisation to achieve. The advantages are
significant to the club, from recruitment to funding we will have a higher profile
as holders award and the regular scrutiny of us by RFU will sharpen our game.
Achieving
S of A is made even more important
with the Olympics around the corner and sport in general having a higher
profile. The committee will be considering our current position against the
stated criteria to be acheived in the new year. The Chair would like a one item
agenda for this meeting away from a Sunday if possible, please can you make
your availability known to Iain or James and they will arrange a convenient
date and time for the majority to attend, information will be circulated prior
to the meeting.
WHAT WE OFFER
St Andrews wants young players to have
fun while developing their skills, overall fitness and confidence. We hope that
players will continue into their adult lives having had the opportunity to play
in a team sport and all it has to offer. Many players return to the Club often
to give something back and help young people learn about the game of Rugby.
Sunday Mornings
The club meets on Sunday mornings
from 10am for training and games with local clubs from surrounding districts.
Most Sundays you will find young people aged six to sixteen years of age
learning new skills, the laws of rugby and of course improving their fitness.
For parents the clubhouse offers
tea, coffee, bacon rolls and other refreshments from 10.30am to parents and
visitors. The Club also has a fully licensed bar which opens at 12 noon.
If this is your first visit to St
Andrews come along on Sundays and see for yourself.
