Andrews Ladies 3rd April 22

The Tournament was hosted by Woodrush RFC. Nine teams fought it out. Andrews Ladies played against Wellesbourne (Top team in the league keeping them to 4 try’s) and Woodrush 1. Andrews ladies played in a pool for play offs against Woodrush 2 and Redditch. Both games were won and placed the Ladies 7th out of 9 teams.

Today we had an awesome shooting defence that worked well.

I think we must start with Emma’s intercept try from our defensive 10 m line - amazing and we didn’t even bother to support her 🤣 Julia’s stepping around just about everyone and working hard to step into a try.

Teigan ran around an England player, and finally scored a try after getting so close several times!

Grace was all over it in defence- Grace and Julia worked exceptionally hard in defence and Grace was all over the pitch… she prevented several tries.

 Jo & Katie played tirelessly in the middle which is not easy! Solid play is just as valuable as the flashy try’s ladies, and it is something you should be proud of! You are staying on the field for ages in the centre which is bloody hard work! Don’t underestimate your contributions ever… 

 Chelsea snuck in a cheeky try, straight through the middle which was fabulous.

 Ponter and I just kept going and calling the play.  Ponter, your experience on the pitch and your leadership in calling the play was once again invaluable. Finally, Emma scored a billion tries but I got a hat trick! Not bad for an old bird!
