Directors Report April 2021
With the reintroduction of training and the opening of the club at weekends for two weeks at the end of April it is pleasing that we are getting back to a level of normality although there is still some way to go but we are starting to get bookings coming into the summer.
Our thanks to all of the coaching team and the volunteers that opened the club and ran the bar on Saturdays and Sundays which ensured a good financial return.
We have agreed some small expenditure in the decoration of the clubhouse and the upgrading of the till and card reader all designed for us to be in good place when we are fully open.
With Covid grants, players / VP subscriptions together with bar income we have remained in the black for this quarter which sets us up well for the coming season.
It is the officers intention to this year have an open Annual General Meeting at the clubhouse given any Government restrictions and accordingly it will be put back from May to the beginning of July provisionally the 1st of the month and the Secretary will issue notifications accordingly.
Rugby and Coaching
The order has been placed for the 1st XV new match day jerseys which are reversible and suitable for being our change strip and they have been funded from sponsorship by Lord Clarke Associates.
Having decided that we would not enter any summer league matches we are pleased that after all of the hard training we have colts and senior games arranged for May before we enter the summer.
The web site is now up and running and being updated on a regular basis and proving its worth with the number of enquiries we are receiving for the hire of the club
Wednesday 5th May
Note. The Annual General Meeting will be on the 1st July at the club 7.30pm
