Directors report January 2021
December and January have been very difficult months with total lockdown resulting in no income and no sporting activities but one bright point being those players and members who have continued to pay their subscriptions and our thanks to them.
The club is mothballed and will remain so for the foreseeable future
Financial / Business:
Without any income for December to March and subject to any grants we will see an expected loss and as mentioned above it is critical that memberships and VP’s are paid if not for immediate gain but for the ongoing wellbeing of the club.
We will continue to keep a tight rein on costs and luckily we do not envisage any major expenditure for this year excluding sponsorship monies.
We now have a revised CASC registration in line with our new Articles of Association which will allow us to gift aid ant donations.
Rugby and Coaching:
All training and coaching has ceased during the lockdown but our thanks again to Billy and Tom for the SaintstoSaints initiative which is bringing all sections of the club together and the money raised will benefit three local charities. Air Ambulance, Mind and Rugby Rokeby Lions.
We continue to liaise with WFRU regarding some form of local league games as soon as conditions allow and this may run through the summer leading up to what we hope is a full season in September.
The new website is substantially complete all thanks to Tom Muat and we hope to launch it later in February.
